Locum Consultant in Waterford, Ireland

E-mail Print PDF

This locum post was previously filled by Dr Paul Mulholland post-CCST and he recommends it.

Located in the “Sunny South East”, the hospital is one of 8 designated cancer centres in Ireland as directed by the National Cancer Program. There are 3.5 medical oncologists in the hospital who work within a multidisciplinary group with radiation oncologists, cancer surgeons, and palliative care consultants. The consultants have site specific interests although this is not essential and they have a thriving research department with 2 research nurses (soon to be 3) and a data manager.  Ideally they would like a long term locum (eg 6-12 months)

Locum Post in New Zealand

E-mail Print PDF

A maternity locum will be available for a medical oncology post in New Zealand from around January/February 2010 for a period of 6-9 months.  The post will be in Dunedin in the South Island of New Zealand - a beautiful area which is situated on the coast but with excellent access to inland mountainous areas (and even weekend skiing).  The department is a very friendly environment with 4 medical oncologists and 3 radiation oncologists.  Disease sites to be covered would be negotiable.

This is a flexible post that would suit either someone having completed their training and looking for a short term locum post, or could be adapated for an SpR who would like to have some experience abroad.  Registration with the New Zealand Medical Council and work visas are relatively easy to sort out as New Zealand recognises all UK qualifications.

If anyone is interested please contact Sarah Moon who can supply further information.  In view of the time difference the easiest way to contact Sarah is by email: This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
