Advice on Swine Flu for Oncologists

E-mail Print PDF

With the ongoing swine flu pandemic oncology units will be drawing up plans with how to deal with the risk of infection for patients and staff as well as how to deal with established infection in immunosuppressed patients.
You can find some useful advice here from the RCP, by ACP Chair Alison Jones. There are also interesting podcasts of interviews concerning swine flu with the Chief Medical Officer, and virologist John Oxford, which can be listened to or downloaded from the Doctors.net forum page. The BMJ has a useful resource page and here is also the Health Protection Agency page.

If your cancer centre already has guidelines in place or you have experience you might like to share get in touch. You could save other units time and effort in setting up their own systems.
