University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Trust (UHMBT) are looking for a suitably qualified Consultant Oncologist, either Medical or Clinical to join the department. The current team consists of two consultant Medical Oncologists and three visiting Clinical Oncologists based at the Cancer Centre in Preston.

If a Medical Oncologist is appointed, the subspeciality interests are expected to be breast and gynaecological cancers;

An opportunity has arisen to gain experience in cancer research within the Southampton NIHR/CR UK Experimental Cancer Medicine Centre, designed to fulfill the requirements for out-of-programme experience for a specialist trainee in medical oncology or it may also be suitable for an individual who does not yet have a NTN but wishes to pursue a career in cancer medicine.  The post holder will gain practical training in the conduct of early phase clinical trials and this may also lead to a defined translational/clinical research project towards a higher degree.

Located on the east coast of the North Island New Zealand, the Bay of Plenty is a fantastic part of the world to live, work and play – we have something here for everyone.

Currently we have a full time position available for a suitably qualified Medical Oncologist.

This role provides general medical oncology care to both inpatients and
outpatients of the BOP District Health Board. Based primarily in Tauranga,
the successful applicant will become part of a growing medical oncology
department with excellent and well equipped chemotherapy suites; dedicated oncology nursing; medical oncologist and haematologist.

Applicants must hold or be eligible for vocational registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ website: www.mcnz.org.nz.
