ACP Committee Meeting Feb 2012

Some of you probably wonder what the ACP does. To keep you updated I will summarise the agenda discussed at the last committee meeting:

 

  1. ACP website - as you will note we are now working with WG Consulting and Roche to enhance the website and provide features such as conference highlights
  2. Acute and urgent problems in cancer patients: quick, effective responses in all settings - this report produced by a joint RCP/RCR Working Party will shortly be published
  3. National Consent Forms - some work is ongoing to develop templates for chemotherapy consent forms
  4. National Clinical Excellence Awards - we await to find out what will happen with CEA this year
  5. McElwain and other Prizes - prizes for trainees reporting their research
  6. ACP Nominations for RCP Lectureships
  7. Regional Speciality Advisors
  8. RCP Medical Careers Day - we will provide support to encourage students to consider medical oncology as a career
