Some of you probably wonder what the ACP does. To keep you updated I will summarise the agenda discussed at the last committee meeting:
- ACP website - as you will note we are now working with WG Consulting and Roche to enhance the website and provide features such as conference highlights
- Acute and urgent problems in cancer patients: quick, effective responses in all settings - this report produced by a joint RCP/RCR Working Party will shortly be published
- National Consent Forms - some work is ongoing to develop templates for chemotherapy consent forms
- National Clinical Excellence Awards - we await to find out what will happen with CEA this year
- McElwain and other Prizes - prizes for trainees reporting their research
- ACP Nominations for RCP Lectureships
- Regional Speciality Advisors
- RCP Medical Careers Day - we will provide support to encourage students to consider medical oncology as a career
