e-Oncology

E-mail Print PDF

The e-Oncology project is part of the Department of Health's e-Learning for Healthcare project and has been allocated sigificant funding. It has the aim of delivering the knowledge foundation required by ST3 and ST4 trainees to underpin the subsequent clinical training in either Medical or Clinical Oncology. The project has already produced an online learning package for radiologists.

The ambitious project is being led for medical oncology by Graham Dark. The whole project aims to have approximately 1000 learning sessions in 16 modules. Each learning session is a block of learning that will take 20-30 minutes to complete and each module should have 20-100 sessions. Content Authors and Module Editors are still being recruited. Module Editors will be consultants but Content Authors should include trainees and will be paid £150 for each session contributed. Hopefully many trainees will get involved.

More information is available at the project website here.
